And so it begins…(from home)
I’ve now been working as APWM Missionary to Talua remotely for the past month (2 days a week). It has been a steep learning curve, but an absolute joy and delight to serve the Lord and the Vanuatu Church. Most of my time has been spent benchmarking our Certificate courses against similar international courses. This is a very important step in ensuring our courses not only meet local needs, but also reflecting the quality and standards of the international community.
It can feel isolating and frustrating at times to do this work from my little back office at home, but we’ve been encouraged by the heart for quality theological education in the staff currently serving at Talua. The under-resourced nature of the College is becoming increasingly evident - it’s clear my work is making a significant contribution to addressing this issue. Praise God.
We plan to submit all the accreditation paper work for our Certificate IV qualification sometime in the coming weeks, so pray that these final few weeks of paperwork would provide all the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority need for a swift approval.
